Custom lighting in steel and brass

Albion Power manufacture bespoke luminaries for clients who are looking for something unique. This is a very small part of our business, but one that we enjoy best.

If you have an idea for a custom built light fitting, talk to us about it. If can be fabricated or machined, we can usually make it for you (we do not yet have a casting facility).

Many luminaries from abroad, especially from the Far East are not considered by English electricians to be particularly safe, nor are they easy to install, but our luminaries are built by English tradesmen for English tradesmen, and are safe and easy to install.

It may cost a little more than a mass produced product, but its well worth it for the individuality and quality of workmanship.  

Electrical safety

It is important to remember that whilst installing a new light fitting may appear to be easy, many D.I.Y. enthusiasts are caught out by complex wiring installations.

It is always best to employ a qualified electrician who will first survey the existing wiring to determine if it is compliant with BS 7671, and secondly install the new luminaire before conducting stringent tests to ensure complete safety in use.

Over the past thirty years we have seen many attractive luminaries that are connected in an unsafe way or to an unsafe wiring installation or are not fixed securely - be safe, use a tradesman!
